about me
I never knew I wanted to be a lawyer.
As a young man, I didn’t really know what I wanted to do with my life. I did however, have a far-fetched dream of busking on the streets and bringing joy and healing to people through music. Somehow, through a series of life events and important conversations, my life took a slightly different path and I found myself stumbling into Law school instead. By the grace of God, I still get to make some music these days.
Clueless and confused about what Law is about, how it is meant to serve society and one’s role as a lawyer, I was guided only by the distant dream of wanting to bring joy and healing to people, and to see them flourish in their own ways. And as the story goes, my years in legal practice have helped me appreciate that I am in many ways, fulfilling my dream. Law - at the heart of it - is really a healing profession.
Life can be messy and people, even more complex. It is not uncommon to experience brokenness and pain in the way we interact. When this happens, we find ourselves desperate for restoration, for harmony, for justice - for healing of wounds that we’ve sustained along the way. Most of us look to the law to help us, but navigating and understanding the legal system is not always easy. It can be intimidating. I totally understand - I have been there too.
And so, I have chosen to dedicate my time to help others walk their journey; to find justice, restoration, healing, and the peace that so many of us are grasping for. As a lawyer, I am committed to telling one’s story, seeking their best interests and seeing them flourish. In the other arenas of my life, I’ve set out to do the same through music, songs, creative writing and other expressions.
If nothing else, I pray that in these pages you will find some words and ideas that bring encouragement to you today.
